Researcher-led initiative fund
A fund to help you develop your own development initiatives locally for fellow researchers.
Apply for funding
We set aside a portion of the University’s researcher development funding every year for staff and student researchers to organise and run their own development events and initiatives locally.
These events must be in keeping with the researcher development agenda of professional development and career development support and activity for researchers.
We have written a guide giving full details on the fund, what it’s about, and how to apply.
The next deadline for applications is 1st June 2012.
Projects so far
Ideas other staff and students have come up with include:
- Setting up and running local research staff societies.
- Running local seminar series with career and professonal development themed topics.
- Organising one off development events around a range of themes such as project management and public engagement, etc.
- Cross-disciplinary networks and groups.
