Record a whole variety of information relevant to your career progress in one simple and easy to use online space.
What is it?
MyCareer is a secure, web-based space for research staff where you can:
- build and maintain a profile of your career and professional development activities
- record your progress and experience by logging your academic achievements and professional skills and knowledge
You can also download your information and use it to:
- update your CV
- inform grant applications
- have formal reviews with your line manager or your supervisor
- evidence the impact of your research
MyCareer has been designed and built by the University's IS Applications Division working with a Researcher Development project team. It has been built in close collaboration with researchers to inform the design and specification.
What information can I record and store?
MyCareer provides a systematic format for inputting data appropriate to your needs. It is secure, user-friendly and intuitive to use. You can input as much data as you want when you want.
You can record and store academic career and development information, including:
- grant application information
- training and development activities
- formal review meetings
- supervision and teaching duties
- publications (including easy access to the University publications repository)
- knowledge exchange activities
Logging on to MyCareer
MyCareer is accessed via MyEd, the university's web portal. Your privacy is protected by your EASE log on, the university's secure login system. Log on using your UUN and password.
Your information on MyCareer is private and it is your responsibility to manage it. If you have any problem with MyCareer or your data and cannot resolve it, contact us on the specific MyCareer email helpline by clicking the link below.
