Where we are, and how to find us.

The IAD is situated on Bristo Square and faces McEwan Hall.
Visitors in wheelchairs or with other mobility difficulties: the IAD occupies the first and second floors of 7 Bristo Square, and does not have direct wheelchair access, nor level-access accessible bathrooms.
If you think you would be unable to access an IAD service or event in our building, we would be grateful if you could contact the service or event organiser in good time so we can aim to make alternate arrangements.
Potential visitors can also contact us for more information and advice about building access, and read the following guide '7 Bristo Square: A Guide to Access':
We are currently in discussion with the University's Estates and Buildings division, in the hope that our building will be adapted. If you have been put off visiting our building because of poor accessibility, we would be grateful if you could let us know as this would help us advocate for changes to be made.
Our building is most closely served by the C134, 41, 42, 67, and 2 bus routes. Please note that C134 is the University shuttle bus and is free for students and staff of the University.
Buses 23, 27, 35 and 45 also stop within a very short walking distance, as do the multitude of bus services that travel along Nicholson Street and South Bridge.
If travelling to us by taxi, it is best to ask to be dropped on the corner of Crichton Street nearest George Square. Once there walk up Charles Street and keep going untill you get to the sweeping curved staircase at the Santander Bank.
There is a secure bike store for University staff and students located between our building and the next door Dugald Stewart building. Public access bike racks are also within a very short walk.
