The Digital Curation Centre (DCC) is a division of Information Services (IS) and a nationally funded centre aiming to support UK institutions who store, manage and preserve data to help ensure their enhancement and their continuing long-term use.

The Edinburgh Compute and Data Facility (ECDF) is a high-performance cluster of servers and storage which is available to researchers from, and associated with, the University of Edinburgh.

The Records Management Section provides help and advice to all units of the University on information management issues including records management practices and procedures, data protection and freedom of information.
They are also responsible for the Central Records Registry and the day-to day management of the records of Policy and Planning.
