The library holds the University's Scottish ethnography collections, supporting and supplementing the materials of the Main Library.
It brings together some of the University's otherwise scattered collections on Scotland in support of teaching and research.
In addition to offering a resource for honours students of Scottish ethnology and Celtic and Scottish history, it provides an excellent research facility for the academic staff and postgraduate students in these subject areas.
Please be aware that while the majority of the books in the Scottish Studies Library are listed on the Library Catalogue, all books are issued manually so the status "not charged" may mean the item is actually on loan. The Library is staffed only in semester so you may wish to make contact before visiting.
27-29 George Square, Edinburgh EH8 9LD.
Staff and students of the University of Edinburgh have full access and borrowing rights.
