St Cecilia's Hall Museum of Instruments

St Cecilia's Hall Museum of Instruments is open to the public twice weekly:

Saturdays 14:00 - 17:00 and Wednesdays 14:00 - 17:00 Except in the weeks of Christmas and New Year. In addition to the Wednesday and Saturday afternoon openings, during the Edinburgh International Festival, 4 - 29 August 2014, the Museum will be open Mondays to Fridays 10:30 - 12:30

There is no charge for entry.

Audio guides are available on request in the galleries - hear the sounds of many of the instruments you see on your visit

Access to St Cecilia's Hall: Enter from the Cowgate. A ramp is provided at the entrance, assistance is available if required. Once past the entrance, there is a lift to the museum galleries. Car parking can be available by prior arrangement for visitors with registered disability badges. Please contact the museum staff in advance. Please note: St Cecilia’s Hall including the Museum of Instruments will close from 31 August 2014 for a major redevelopment project, see http://www.stcecilias.ed.ac.uk/. It is anticipated that the Museum and Hall will reopen ahead of the 2016 Edinburgh International Festival.

The Reid Concert Hall Museum of Instruments

The Reid Concert Hall Museum of Instruments is open to the public twice weekly: Saturdays 10:00 - 13:00 and Wednesdays 15:00 - 17:00 Except in the weeks of Christmas and New Year. In addition to the Wednesday and Saturday openings, during the Edinburgh International Festival, 4 - 29 August 2014, the Museum will be open Mondays to Fridays 10:30 - 12:30 There is no charge for entry.

Access to the Reid Concert Hall: Enter from Bristo Square. A wheelchair lift is provided at the entrance, assistance is available if required. Car parking can be available by prior arrangement for visitors with registered disability badges. Please contact the museum staff in advance.
