Announcement of the winners of the PebblePad competition that closed in March.
Competition results
The winning entries are 'Doing the unthinkable making pottery figures' webfolio by Linda Hatfield and 'My photo folio' webfolio by Iona Grant.
Congratulations to Linda and Iona who both win a Flip mini video camera.
PebblePad availability
PebblePad is available to all students through the MyEd studies tab, even if you do not use it within your course. To learn more about how to use PebblePad, see the overview pages accessible through the link below.
The competition
The competition aimed to seek out the most interesting and useful students you have devised to make use of PebblePad, either within their course or as part of their personal and social activities.
The competition is now closed.
Judging criteria
The competition sought examples of student-created assets that are GREAT:
- Genuine - making appropriate use of the selected tool(s) to do or share something meaningful to the creator.
- Reflective - showing a bit of depth of thought, not just putting some images into a webfolio, or filling in a form. Perhaps the asset would demonstrate seeking and responding to feedback, or show some development of thinking or abilities over a period of time.
- Engaging - something that makes the judges go, “Hey! What a great idea”.
- Attractive - good use of images, or language, or layout (as appropriate to the tool(s) used).
- Transferable - something which others might also want to try to create.

The judging panel included one person from each of the following groups:
