Introduction
The University wireless network service provides a network connection through the air to one of our Wireless Access Points.
It allows you to connect your own computer, or other similar devices (eg smartphone or tablet computer) to the university network and Internet, providing they have a suitable wireless network card and wireless management program running.
Prerequisites
- A 802.11 standard Wireless network card installed in your device.
- A device operating system capable of wireless connection management is required, or a third party wireless management program should be installed. Apple OS X, Microsoft Windows 7 and XP come wireless ready as standard.
- You must be registered to use the Wireless Networking Service in the University.
