Follow the instructions below to install and configure the Cisco VPN client for your computer.
Please note that 64-bit versions of Windows 7 and Vista require you to download and install a different version of the Cisco IPSec VPN client than the software used on the 32-bit versions of Windows 7, Vista and XP.
Download the Cisco VPN client software for Windows. You may be asked to log into EASE before you can download the software.
You should choose to "Run" the file (if you are not given the option to Run the file, then save it, and then run it from your Downloads window by clicking the Open link).
You may see the message "The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?". If so, select "Run".
You should now see a WinZip Self-Extractor window.
When the computer has restarted, from the start menu, select All Programs, then Cisco Systems VPN Client, then VPN Client. This will bring up the VPN Client window.
Click the New icon to create a new connection entry and enter the following information:
NB: Your Group authentication name and password are NOT the same as the username and the password you set when you registered for the VPN service.
You can find out your Group authentication name and password by visiting:
To connect to the VPN service: from the start menu, select All Programs, then Cisco Systems VPN Client, then VPN Client. This will bring up the VPN Client window.
To disconnect from the VPN service, follow the instructions above to bring up the VPN client window, then click Disconnect.
