A lot of our software deals provide software for different operating systems but there are a couple of options specifically for the Macintosh and the Macintosh operating system.
Apple Education Store
The store has educational discounts for apple macintosh computers, devices and accessories as well as some software for the mac including the operating system.
PLEASE NOTE: Some software may be cheaper through our other deals so check prices on the other agreement web pages before placing an order.
Ordering from Education store using PECOS
The Apple education store is on the PECOS procurement site, principally for ordering Mac computers. However a school can shop online with the Education store and produce a quote which can be paid for using PECOS.
Education store for Staff and Students
Staff and Students can use the Apple Education store to purchase Macintosh stuff at a discount. You need to be on the EdLan network or authenticated using VPN to use the store.
Apple Maintenance Program
The Apple Maintenance Program is a 3 year agreement to cover upgrades in Apple Macintosh operating system (does not include server OS).
The current agreement is from October 2010 for three years to end of September 2013, with annual charges are per machine covered. We cannot add licenses during the agreement term, but check with Software services as there maybe a couple of licenses available.
Contact software services if you would like to be notified about the next apple maintenance in spring 2013.
The AMP software maintenance is a "stay current" license. You must have a current Mac OS version in order to be covered by the maintenance.
