Installing the University CA Certificate
To install the certificate in Internet Explorer on Windows 95/98/NT and XP please follow these instructions.
1. Download the certificate
Click on the certificate link below to download the certificate into your browser. A window will open asking you if you want to download or open the file. Select Open this file from its current location and click on OK.
2. Install certificate
Another window will appear. Click on Install Certificate....
3. Accept the certificate
Now you need to accept the certificate for use with various services. Please click on Next>.
4. Automatically select the keystore
Please leave the option to Automatically select the certificate store alone and click on Next>.
5. Finishing the install process
To finish click on Finish. You will see one final confirmation screen. Please confirm that the Subject says that it is issued to The University of Edinburgh and that the Thumbprint (sha1) is:
DF4CF9AF 8E32571E 4808BE6A F46B2E09 4DCB7948
Now click on Yes and a window saying that the certificate was installed should pop up. Click on OK when it does. You may now close the certificate window.
