You can create server filters to automatically file messages in folders when they arrive.
To create a filter rule to automatically file messages, click on Filters in the menu or toolbar to open the Filter management screen.
Click on New Rule to create a new filter rule.
Edit the Rule Name to give it a meaningful name such as "file into myfolder" rule.
Next you need to edit the condition that will match on the messages you want to only file those that you are interested in. You can have any number of conditions that must be satisfied. If you want to specify several conditions that all must be satisfied then click on the box All of the following. If you want only one of the conditions to match then select Any of the following.
Next select the message header that you want to match on from the drop-down menu, such as From or Subject and then the condition which should be matched e.g. Contains and enter the text to be matched in the box that will appear next to it.
You can add further conditions by repeating the above.
To file matching messages in a folder called myfolder, select Deliver to folder... from the drop-down menu and select myfolder from the list of folders (if the folder doesn't exist you can create it by selecting Create new folder).
Instead of just delivering into myfolder, you can instead select Deliver into INBOX and copy to to deliver both to your INBOX and put a copy in myfolder.
The final step is to save your new filter by clicking on Save. The filter will be saved and activated and added to your list of filters. You will be taken back to the main filter management screen where you will see it listed by name and can change the filter's position in the list using the up and down arrows next to each filter.
