Email services
The University provides email services to all members of the University: staff, students, official visitors and honorary members of staff.
There are a number of email services in the University. Some are provided by Schools for their own staff and students. If you are in such a school, then your school's computing staff will advise you. Most staff will use staffmail to read and send mail and students will use the Student Mail Service. Some staff may be provided with the alternative Exchange Mail Service.
Staffmail
The staffmail service is available for all staff and some official visitors and honorary staff.
Student Mail Service (SMS)
The Student Mail Service is available for all students.
Webmail
Both staffmail and SMS are available through a webmail service allowing access to email using a web browser from wherever you are.
Mail directories
Two email directories exist, one for staff and one for students, allowing people to lookup email addresses.
Mailing lists
A mailing lists service allows people to manage lists of email addresses.
Mail relay services
Mail relay services include the delivery of email, virus and spam scanning and the blocking of malware.
Exchange Mail and Diary
