Introduction
The Software Configuration and Integration service supports schools and business units with the specification, configuration and deployment of third-party software packages. As part of this service, we can:
- Establish the business case, confirm business and technical requirements
- Help with any procurement, developing the invitation to tender (ITT) and evaluating submissions
- Configure the system to meet the needs of our users
- Integrate the system with the university’s software architecture
- Enhance the system once it is in use
Examples of possible configuration and integration include:
- Enabling users to log in with EASE
- Populating user information from the University’s Identity Management service (IDM)
- Producing reports and dashboards for particular groups of users
- Providing access to the system via MyEd, U@Ed or the University Web Site
- Linking to relevant data from the Human Resources and Student Record systems
- Interfacing with the Finance system and payment gateway
