The Corporate Division, together with the Directors of the other Divisions within IS, are involved in the production of Strategic Plans, Annual Plans and Annual Reports for the Information Services Group.
The Information Services' Five-Year Strategic Plan 2012-2016 is currently being developed.
The current draft IT Strategy is intended to give a high level framework which can be used within the University to guide decision making over the next 3 to 5 years. The aim puts the user experience at the heart of the strategy rather than the technology.
The current Research Computing Strategy 2008 was formulated by a high level strategic committee (IT Committee reporting to the Knowledge Strategy Committee) following a recommendation in the report from IT & Computing Review and is reviewed and revised regularly.
An externally-lead review in to how to best achieve a balanced collection across the University, within available resources.
The review examined the existing help and support services across IS alongside those offered by Schools, and put forward recommendations on how IT, Library, eLearning and AV help services might be reconfigured to maximum effect.
The current draft Technology Enhanced Learning strategy document is being reviewed by the Technology Enhanced Learning Team. This draft will be amended soon to include a SWOT analysis and an analysis of future areas of development.
