The Data Library has published a report on the findings of an evaluation of the Research Data MANTRA project, which as part of the JISC Managing Research Data Programme (2010-11) created an online course for University PhD students and early career researchers to learn better data management practice.

In July 2012 the University of Edinburgh hosted the Seventh International Conference on Open Repositories (OR2012).
