Election Count database upgrade deployed

A new Microsoft platform held on a supportable network with automatic backups of system data to deliver the Election Count system, has been deployed. The existing database version was in urgent need of replacing as it was unsupported, and the risk of the system failing had increased significantly.

The implementations of the Real Time Information (RTI) and Auto-enrolement (AE) HMRC processes have introduced a high volume of manual effort each month. Payroll and Pensions have to resolve historical data errors and manually include statutory payments.
