Main Library Floor 4 now open
The refurbished floor 4 of the Main Library opened on Monday 20th February, two weeks earlier than scheduled.
Providing an extra 550 study spaces, including 150 computers, the refurbished floor also features the Older Lending Collection.
By late afternoon on Monday 20th February there were around 1,350 users in the Main Library and around 200 users on floor 4 with plenty of seats available. Information Services will continue to observe usage, particularly over the next few weeks on the newly opened floor.
Sheila Cannell, Director of Library Services, talked to some students on the refurbished floor who were definitely pleased by the new space saying they had been waiting for it and that it was lovely.
