Floor 3, the 6th floor to be completed during the Main Library Redevelopment Project, officially opened on Monday 4th July 2011, on schedule. The floor, which is already proving popular with students, houses the following:
Student Services, which encompasses, Careers Service, Student Counselling Service and Student Disability Service will also be located on Floor 3 and will open on Monday 1st August. Tours of the Main Library have been conducted with staff members to familiarise themselves with the building ahead of their move and we look forward to welcoming them to their new location.
Floor 4 has now been fully cleared and closed for redevelopment on Friday 1st July. The floor is due for completion in spring 2012 and will house nearly 8,000 linear meters of books and 600 study spaces. The collections relocated from Floor 4 are as follows.
