IS Helpdesks in site libraries will close for an hour per week this Summer to allow for Helpdesk staff training; libraries will remain open.
Over the Summer, IS User Services Division Helpdesk staff in libraries will benefit from one hour per week of dedicated training time, in order to upskill on new services coming next session and refresh on current services. Libraries will remain open, but Helpdesk services, outwith the Main Library, will open at 10.15am at individual libraries on their training day; Helpdesk services in the Main Library will open as normal.
The training days will be:
Access for users with current valid Library cards will be available and the Libraries will run on self-services during the training time.
This investment of time in training will enable Help Services to offer an improved level of service to users in the new 2012/13 Session.
