A University team, led by Wilma Alexander in IS, has won an Accessibility Grant from Blackboard to investigate features of accessible online courses.

The year-long project will seek to evaluate the accessibility of different approaches to structuring online materials and activities within a Virtual Learning Environment. Although the focus will be on the Learn9 environment, working with Blackboard’s accessibility team, one outcome of the project will be guidelines on structuring courses and materials which would be applicable to any environment.
