The 'creating accessible materials' section of the IS website has been recognised as an example of good practice by the Scottish Accessible Information Forum and will feature on their website as an example of such.

Following on from the Scottish Working Group on Information Services for Disabled People and Carers report in 1995, the Scottish Accessible Information Forum (SAIF) was set up to take forward the recommendations. It is an advisory body to the Scottish Government with the aim to make information accessible directly to all.
The 'creating accessible materials' webpages on the IS Website give practical advice on how to make word documents, PowerPoint presentations, emails etc. accessible to disabled users.
