A wide variety of scholarships are available. Many of these are full scholarships, paying tuition fees, additional programme costs, and a stipend to cover living expenses.
Because the scholarships cover fees at UK/EU rate, overseas students should also apply for an Edinburgh Global Research Scholarship to cover the remainder of the fee (see details under Overseas Students link below).
The rest are partial scholarships, for example paying only tuition fees, or waiving additional programme costs, or making a contribution towards living expenses.
In addition, there are opportunities for postgraduates to undertake employment within the School, for example, helping with undergraduate teaching as a tutor or demonstrator. However note this is not equivalent to a US ‘teaching assistant’ position, and can only cover a small part your costs.
