Our admissions process is organised into two rounds that are aligned with the main funding decision points, see the timetable below. Apply to the first round in order to be considered for ALL funding sources; this is particularly important for overseas (non-EU) applicants. There is still considerable funding available in the second round, and this is when the majority of decisions for UK applicants will be made. Admissions decisions can be made at other times of the year, especially for applicants who have external sources of funding.
First round application deadline.
Deadline for full consideration for all PhD scholarships including those in the Neuroinformatics and Computational Neuroscience Doctoral Training Centre.
Students selected from the first round applications may be put forward for the following scholarships, which will require an additional application by February:

Second round application deadline.
