Based in the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh, Informatics Ventures supports and encourages globally ambitious software companies in Scotland.

The programme was established in 2008 with the aim of nurturing a profitable Scottish technology cluster to rival Boston, Pittsburgh, Kyoto and Silicon Valley.

Our mission is to increase the economic impact of Scotland’s formidable base of research and innovation.

Informatics Ventures supports and develops the global aspirations of Scotland’s budding entrepreneurs through practitioner-led entrepreneurship education and community networking and resources. We believe that education for entrepreneurs is best delivered by entrepreneurs.
