Student Wins Poster Competion for Jekyll and Hyde Inspired Research
Alexandra Kearney, a first year Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science student, received the ‘People’s Choice’ award for best poster as voted for by the attendees (£150, sponsored by Interface3). Her research was inspired by the Robert Louis Stevenson charachters Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

Gadgets Developed for Elderly and Infirm
Researchers at the School of Informatics and Glasgow University's School of Computing Science have developed a vibrating wristband which acts as a reminder device and a bowl which lights up when easily-lost items such as keys are placed in it.

Take Tea with Turing App
Take Tea With Turing is an interactive anthology of creative work inspired by the life and legacy of Alan Turing. This compilation of poetry, prose, audio work and multimedia pieces was compiled and edited by Viccy Adams, Leverhulme Trust artist-in-residence at the School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh, and was produced as part of the 2012 centenary of Alan Turing's birth.
