Business In The Arts offers students the opportunity to engage with the business side of the creative arts industry during the world-famous Edinburgh Festivals.
Business In The Arts provides undergraduate students of the performing and creative arts with the opportunity to develop their business skills at Edinburgh University, before putting them into practice through an internship with a company during the world-famous Edinburgh Festivals.
This programme is available during the summer, lasting for eight weeks, and is ideal for those students looking for a summer programme to take their creativity to the next level.

This programme has been designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge relevant to the arts and entertainment business covering topics like:
These sessions will be delivered by leading academics at the University of Edinburgh's Business School.
There will be an opportunity to gain experience in the world's largest festival through internships within international entertainment and production, stage management, public relations, marketing and venue management companies.
Interns will be matched with their companies prior to the start of the festival, with interviews taking place over the initial four-week academic period.
All interns will be exposed to the exciting, fast-paced festival atmosphere and there will be an opportunity to see shows throughout the festival period.
Business In The Arts is worth 30 University of Edinburgh credits (20 for the academic programme, 10 for the internship). All participants take the same academic classes prior to commencing the placement part of the programme.

Your accommodation will include an individual bedroom in a shared property with other programme participants, with WiFi access and kitchen facilities. All properties are located in the centre of Edinburgh.
Your accommodation will be available to move in from Saturday, 29 June 2013. It is suggested you arrive on this date for induction and to settle in before the programme begins.
