Accepting your offer

If you wish to study with us, you must accept our offer in EUCLID as other procedures depend on this. You must bring your Letter of Acceptance in your hand luggage when travelling to Edinburgh.

Accepting our offer in EUCLID

If you receive an offer, it is very important that you log in to your EUCLID portal, when prompted by email, to accept that offer.

This is a quick and straightforward process. However, it is absolutely crucial.

We will not be able to generate the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) code you require to apply for your visa until you have formally accepted our offer.

You also need to have accepted our offer in order to be allocated University of Edinburgh accommodation. You can apply for accommodation at any time after you have submitted your application to study.

However, your accommodation offer will not be made until you have formally accepted our offer of study.

Pre-arrival information

A few weeks before you are due to arrive in Edinburgh we will send you a "Joining Pack". This pack provides lots of information about getting settled in Edinburgh. This will include a campus map and a copy of the International Guide (which can also be accessed online).

The Joining Pack will also contain your “Joining Letter” or Letter of Acceptance. It is essential that you keep this letter safe and bring it with you in your hand luggage when travelling to Edinburgh, particularly if you intend to enter the UK with a Student Visitor visa rather than a Tier 4 (General) visa.

We will also email you shortly before you arrive in Edinburgh to let you know who your Personal Tutor will be during your studies and how you can make an appointment with them.
