Study Abroad students will need a good academic record, an academic reference, and appropriate skills in the English language.
An Erasmus student needs to have been nominated by their home university and they need to provide a copy of their academic transcript and a personal statement.
When candidates apply, they are asked to provide a personal statement of about 500 words. This personal statement should explain why you wish to study at the University of Edinburgh and provide any additional information which you feel may support your application.
After reviewing applications, we will make offers to certain students. This is an offer of a place on the Visiting Student programme in the College of Humanities and Social Science. We cannot, unfortunately, guarantee places on any specific subject courses. These will depend on availability and the student's previous study experience meeting any prerequisites for the course.
