Procedures exist to ensure students on any professional degree programmes are fit to practise while undertaking training.
Those programmes of study leading to a professional qualification and/or a licence to practise will normally require students to undertake practical training. This will entail students working in professional areas with patients, children, clients or service users. The University, in conjunction with the professional bodies, has a duty to ensure the student is fit to practise while undertaking this training.
