Concession request

Students seeking to adjust their programme of study, to substitute one course for another, must have their Personal Tutor submit a request for concession form.

Students seeking to replace or substitute courses in their programme of study, or requesting some other form of concession, must have their Personal Tutor submit the concession request form.

A concession is required "wherever a student's programme deviates from the prescribed norms" according to the general undergraduate degree regulations.

A concession request can be made to substitute one course for another. You can either substitute one course for another at the same level, or substitute a higher level course for a lower level one.

The concession form must be sent to the School Director of Undergraduate Studies. College and Senatus approval may also be necessary for certain concessions.

Guidance documents

Further information on requests for concessions can be found in the guidance for undergraduate direction of studies, in section 5.2.
