Accommodation Services

The University offers a wide range of accommodation for students, dependent on your needs and circumstances, from University catererd and self-catered residences to private housing. The University's Accommodation Services are able to help with both university and private rentals, and can provide information about the many options available.

Careers Service

The University's Careers Service can support you from day one until beyond graduation, from looking for part-time work to planning your future career. They provide a range of services, information and advice, including careers events and a database of job vacancies and employers.

Centre for sport and exercise

University of Edinburgh students get great membership deals at our Centre for Sport and Exercise, whose facilities and services include the Pleasance gym, FASIC sport medicine centre, climbing wall, swimming pool and much more.

Disability Office

Edinburgh University Sports Union

Edinburgh University Sports Union is the student-run body for the organisation of sport at Edinburgh University. There are 63 sports clubs ranging from Football and Hockey to Ultimate Frisbee, Shinty or even Korfball!

Edinburgh University Students' Association (EUSA)

EUSA is your association, run by students, for students — find out more about their many services aimed specifically at students and their needs and interests.

Funding and Scholarships

International Office

Our International Office offers advice and support to students from overseas, including information on visas and visa extension. The International Office also oversees or assists with a number of groups and services to help support current international students, such as the International Student Centre where students meet and have fun, the Women's Group, and the Hospitality Scheme.

Library and Information Services

Student counselling

If you are experiencing problems the Student Counselling service provides confidential short term counselling, to help you work through your difficulty, understand yourself better and find ways of managing your situation.

The Registry

The Registry provides a high-quality service for registrations, student support and fees, examinations and graduations, data management and other student administration matters.

Visa extension advice

New visa regulations were introduced by the UK government in March 2009. Our International Office is able to provide information and advice on visas.
