Director of Academic and Student Administration

The Director of Academic and Student Administration, together with the College Registrar, is responsible for supporting the management and administrative processes across the College.

The current Director of Academic and Student Administration is Mrs Janet Rennie.

The post has particular responsibility for co-ordinating academic planning for the College, including:

The post manages the College relationship with the IS Group, being the link with it on IT, Library and related learning matters.

It has very strong links with the centre of the University on internationalisation, recruitment and marketing, and web strategies. The post represents the College in these areas and interactions, and integrates the College work with central strategies.

The Director of Academic and Student Administration works closely with the Deans of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Studies and of Research, and with them is responsible for creating streamlined academic processes for the College and for harmonising procedures.

The College's five Associate Deans receive their managerial support and oversight, and formal line management, for implementing their roles from the Director of Academic and Student Administration.

The Director of Academic and Student Administration is a member of most College committees, and represents the College on University Committees. She plays a key role on University policy development groups. She convenes the College Computing Strategy Committee and College International Committee and is co-convener of the College Equality and Diversity Committee.
