Information you need to know before joining the Sodexo Childcare Voucher scheme.

The scheme is completely paperless and hassle free for you and operates via the Internet.

This is a voluntary benefit that the University is making available to all members of staff, but you must decide whether it is the right option for you.

Joining means that you agree to an amendment to your terms & conditions of employment for the University of Edinburgh to reduce your gross salary and, in return, place an order for an equal amount in Childcare Voucher Credit with Sodexo. This is a salary sacrifice scheme.

On payday, your Sodexo Childcare Voucher account will be credited with Childcare vouchers equal to the amount you have chosen to receive to replace the reduction in your salary. Payment is then made directly to your childcare provider(s) as authorised by you when you access your account through the Internet.

The Sodexo (saycare pass) website contains detailed information on everything you need to understand before agreeing to join the scheme. We recommend that you read all of the information very carefully before registering for the scheme.
