Dr Frances Dow awarded CBE
Dr Frances Dow, Honorary Fellow in History, has been awarded the CBE in the New Years Honours List 2012.
Dr Dow is honoured for her important and long-standing contribution to British-American relations through chairing the Marshall Aid Commemoration Commission, which oversees the British Marshall Scholarships programme.
Dr Dow has served as a Dean of Arts and a Vice Principal at the University of Edinburgh.
