Old pound note

Below are links to information on current tuition fees.

If the duration of the programme you wish to apply for is more than one year, you should bear in mind that tuition fees increase every year. This annual increase should be taken into account when you are applying for a programme. You will additionally need to take into account the cost of living in Edinburgh.

The University offers a 10% discount in postgraduate tuition fees for all alumni who have graduated with an undergraduate degree from the University of Edinburgh (conditions apply). This discount applies to both home and overseas students, and applies to the self-funding element of the postgraduate tuition fee (this does not apply to any part of the element of tuition fee which is covered by a scholarship or other source of funding, or to additional programme costs where they apply).

Whether you are required to pay tuition fees at the home rate (UK and EU students) or at the overseas rate is determined by your nationality and the country where you are ‘ordinarily resident’. It is also determined in accordance with the regulations with which institutions must work in assessing fee status detailed in the Education (Fees and Awards) (Scotland) Regulations 2007.
