Biography
I am a medical doctor, graduate of the University of Crete (2003) and a certified Forensic Pathologist (2007). I completed my training in Forensic Pathology at the Department of Forensic Sciences of the University of Crete in 2007 and I spent a 4-month period at the Forensic Pathology Institute of the University of Düsseldorf as a Guest Scientist. In 2007 I was awarded with a Marie Curie Fellowship at the Natural History Museum in Spain, within the framework of EVAN, a European training network with focus on Virtual Anthropology (MRTN-CT-2005-019564). In 2009 I completed my Ph.D at the University of Crete and in January 2010 I was appointed as a Lecturer in Forensic Anthropology in Archaeology (SHCA) of the University of Edinburgh.
