Prof. Arlie Hochschild's visit
International scholar, Prof. Arlie Hochschild, author of the book 'The Managed Heart: The Commercialization of Human Feeling' visited the University of Edinburgh on October 6th 2010.
She participated in a full day of events hosted by HiSS and CRFR centring on emotions, labour and capitalism. All three events were extremely well received, attracting large audiences from a range of disciplines, many of whom travelled from outside of Edinburgh.
