Overview

The research interests of the Interdisciplinary Social Sciences in Health team involve national and international collaborations.

The section has specific research strengths in older people, dementia, integration of health and social care services, changing workforce patterns, learning disability, intensive care and pain.

The University of Edinburgh is a leading research university and an international centre of academic excellence, and therefore provides an excellent environment and outstanding resources for undertaking research.

It is Scotland's premier research University, and was graded within the top five British Universities in the 2008 National Research Assessment Exercise (RAE). We encourage expressions of interest from potential MSc students and PhD candidates.

Integrated Health in Social Science welcomes the opportunity to develop Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, focusing on innovative ways to link practice to academic training and research.
