Additional costs
Students on the Professional Doctorate in Psychotherapy and Counselling are required to undertake regular professional supervision in relation to their placement practice. While some agencies meet most or all of the costs of supervision, others are not in a position to do so, and students may have to pay for their own supervision.
Many counselling supervisors offer reduced rates for counselling students. Reduced rates are typically in the region of £20 to £30 per hour, while full supervision rates are in the region of £30 to £45 per hour.
