NHS Scholarships
There are two types of scholarships available to NHS CAMHS staff applying to this programme:
NES Scholarships
As part of a strategy to increase psychological education and skills development across disciplines in CAMHS, NHS Education for Scotland (NES) provides funding for CAMHS practitioners working in NHS Scotland, in the form of scholarships.
cyCBT Scholarships
There is a scholarship fund linked to the PGCert cyCBT. CAMHS practitioners working in NHS Scotland are eligible to apply for this fund towards the cyCBT Supervised Practice course.
The scholarship covers course fees but does not cover any additional supervision costs, which are usuallly met by the student's employer.
How to Apply
Applicants may apply for funding for one or more courses being studied for credit. Applicants for funding will be assessed by a panel who consider both scholarships.
To apply please download the form below:
- This form should be submitted with a letter of support from your line manager. The letter should be signed and on headed paper, or sent to cyp.msc@ed.ac.uk from the line manager’s NHS e-mail account (forwarded e-mails will not be accepted).
- Scholarship applications will only be considered once an application has been made through EUCLID for a programme of study, providing a unique university number (UUN), or if a paper application has been received for a CPD course.
- All documents must be received by 28th June 2013 for semester 1 courses, or 29th November 2013 for Semester 2 courses.
- We award on an annual basis, and will endeavour to support ongoing studies. Please only request for courses you plan to study in the forthcoming year.

Please note that your application can only be considered if you have applied for a place from the University of Edinburgh and have a letter of support from your employer.
The next deadline for scholarship applications is 28th June 2013 (Semester 1 courses) or 29th November 2013 (Semester 2 courses).
