Our First Aid training is available on a commercial basis to those out with the University.
Courses run regularly, and can be organised either in the Health and Safety Training Unit’s excellent training facilities in Chambers Street, Edinburgh or in the premises of participating companies if preferred, subject to suitable facilities.
This course provides detailed training in theoretical and practical aspects of First Aid at work, in order to enable employees to manage a person or persons becoming suddenly ill or suffering injury at work.
This training is required every 3 years to maintain First Aider status. Attendance is only required at the specific examination time slot.
This one day course is aimed at staff who wish to attain a basic knowledge of first aid and become competent at Emergency First Aid at Work.
Prices include a copy of the authorised First Aid manual and all refreshments; lunch can be provided if required.

Prices quoted above are for attendance on courses held on University premises. Discounts are available for courses of 8 persons.
Those who successfully complete the Emergency First Aid at Work, First Aid at Work or Requalification course will receive a First Aid certificate and badge.
Appointed Persons or Refresher training attendees will receive an attendance certificate.
