We offer a wide range of paid part-time tutoring and demonstrating duties on our undergraduate courses to PhD students.
Tutors and demonstrators play a valuable and significant part in the delivery of the School’s undergraduate courses and are regarded as integral members of the course team in which they play a part.
Full training is provided by the School and by the Institute for Academic Development (IAD).
For those wishing to continue to work in an academic environment, the experience of tutoring and demonstrating provides the student with useful and relevant academic skills, as well as providing practical transferable skills also to those who look outside academia.
Under UKBA regulations, international students can work up to twenty hours a week. This allows you to take advantage of teaching opportunities on offer.
