Fees and Funding options
Fees
For entry to the MSc Environment and Development programme in 2013-14 the fees are:
Home/EU (UK or European Union): £7,450
Overseas / International: £18,050
(Part-time students will be charged 50% of the applicable programme fee each year.)
The amount you pay is dependent on your fee status.
*Please note Associated Programme Costs (APCs) for this course are £700.
Environment and Development Scholarships

- 1x £1,000 Bursary
New and existing applicants who have firmly accepted an offer (conditional or unconditional) will automatically be entered into the bursary competition. No separate bursary application is required.
Criteria
The bursaries will be awarded on the basis of:
- the strongest statement of interest in the programme
- academic merit (candidates must have the equivalent of a UK first class honours degree)
If you wish to be considered for these, you must have firmly accepted your offer by 01 June 2013. A selection committee will meet in the summer to select bursary holders. The winners of the bursaries will be announced during the summer, before the start of term.

Further sources of Funding
The University of Edinburgh also offers a wide range of scholarships to support students of all nationalities. These include the Edinburgh Global Master’s Scholarship and many other region- and country-specific scholarships.
These scholarships have a separate application process. For most of the scholarships you will need to have already applied for a place on the MSc before you can apply for the scholarship. The deadlines for these scholarships range from October to May, so you need to apply early to the MSc to be able to apply for the full range of scholarships.

Graduate Discount Scheme
If you already have an undergraduate degree from the University of Edinburgh, you will be eligible for a 10% discount on tuition fees.
