Zone teams
The University’s estate is spread over Edinburgh and the surrounding area.
For strategic, planning and operational purposes we group University buildings into zones; these align closely with the University’s collegiate structure:
- Central Area (incorporating College of Humanities and Social Science and central administration)
- Medicine and Veterinary Medicine
- Science and Engineering
- Residential and related accommodation
Each Estate Development Manager and Premises team is aligned to a zone and form a “Zone team”.
Working together, Zone teams provide an integrated estates service to the University, encompassing strategic planning, major developments, infrastructure maintenance and operational support.
