Our initiatives aim to provide more sustainable or efficient services and facilities for staff and students of the University.
Tripshare
Tripshare is the University's car sharing scheme.
The University of Edinburgh operates a private scheme within TripshareEdinburgh so that staff and students can search for potential matches within the University community to share their car, walking or cycling trip.
As of July 2011, the University of Edinburgh’s Tripshare Group had 900 members who you could potentially share your journey with!
Travel Plans
The University is committed to the development and implementation of site specific travel plans.
A travel plan is a package of measures to support and encourage the use of non-car modes of transport.
There are currently three adopted Travel Plans for specific areas of the University. A Travel Plan for Easter Bush is currently under development.
