Overview
The projects aim to provide and enhance an estate capable of supporting word-class academic activity and meeting our business needs.
The projects listed here are projects which are at Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) stage C (Concept) through to RIBA stage K (Construction) and are estimated to cost greater than £500,000 including works, fees, equipment and VAT.
These works have been carefully planned to minimise any disruption to the University community, although they may cause some inconvenience in the short term.
Easter Bush Campus Redevelopment (EBCR)
The Easter Bush campus is currently undergoing a major redevelopment.
Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation (ECCI)
The project will encompass the reburbishment and remodelling of the Old High School (High School Yards) to create the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation (ECCI)
King's Buildings Library
The King's Buildings Library will be a new four-storey building on the site of the Robertson Library.
Main Library Phased Refurbishment
Refurbishment of the Main Library at George Square is currently in progress.
Anne Rowling Regenerative Neurology Clinic
To create a new clinic dedicated to the research of regeneration disease.
Roslin Institute Phase 2a and 2b
Additional research facilities to support the work of the new Roslin Institute.
Department of Clinical Neurology Relocation
To relocate the research facilities of the DCN Department from the Western General campus to the BioQuarter.
50 George Square
The refurbishment of the former William Robertson Building (50 George Square) facilitates the co-location of the School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures.
