Seed corn funding

The aim of seed corn funding is to support research projects where funds can not be sought from elsewhere.

This could be to:

Gather or process information that could be used as evidence for a larger research project
Pilot a research study
Assess the likelihood of a project succeeding
Process/manage data from a research project/piece of work that can be used to produce outputs
Gathering knowledge/input from colleagues out with the School/University that can be used for future research projects
To support the set up of collaborative research projects with colleagues out with the School/University

It is expected that the project/work being carried out using the seed corn funding will support publications.

Two formal deadlines per year: 31st March and 30th September with applications being reviewed within 2 weeks of these dates.

Ad hoc applications may be considered.
