How is the programme delivered?

Each course involves approximately 30 hours of contact and will be delivered outside the normal school day. This will include school holidays, weekends, evenings and twilight sessions. Sessions will be delivered throughout the country, but primarily in Edinburgh, Perth and Aberdeen. Videoconferencing and distance learning sessions will also be included.

Who are potential students and how is the programme funded?

The programme is available to all registered teachers working in primary and secondary schools in Scotland and should be of particular interest to primary and nursery teachers.

When did the programme start?

The programme commenced in 2007 and to-date over 400 students have undertaken the Certificate at the University of Edinburgh. For further information please contact Rosemary Bree.
