Courses and dissertation

The programme comprises of 6 core courses, 2 optional courses and a dissertation.

Core courses

There are three programme-specific core courses (20 credits each):

  • Nature of Enquiry
  • Quantitative Data Analysis with SPSS
  • Qualitative Data Research

and three School-wide compulsory research methods courses (10 credits each):

  • The Sources of Knowledge: Understanding and Analysing Research Literature
  • Conceptualising Research: Foundations, Assumptions and Praxis
  • Research Methods: Planning Research
